Q: When did you first become interested in singing?
A: I’ve loved singing all my life! But, I started taking choral music seriously about 5 years ago. At the time I played viola, but Carpal Tunnel got the best of me and I had to find an alternative. I haven’t looked back since!
Q: What are all of the singing activities you are a part of or have been a part of?
A: I currently participate in bass clef choir, chamber singers, and Matilda the musical.
In middle school, I was in show choir and I juggled between choir and classical orchestra.
Q: Is preparing for those activities stressful, challenging, enjoyable, etc.?
A: Stressful? Yes, but probably the most rewarding experiences a person can have.
Q: What has been the most fun activity you have been involved in with singing?
A: All-State camp at Wartburg College was pretty fun. I got to sing with a ton of other people that love singing just as much as I do.
Q: What is your most proud achievement with singing?
A: Probably getting into chamber. I’m much more confident in my singing then I used to be.
Q: Who are some of your favorite people to sing with?
A: My best friends from the Southside. Before I came to Southeast Polk they were the ones who pushed me to sing in choir.
Q: What is your favorite song?
A: Biggering by the 88.
Q: What is your favorite musical?
A: Tuck Everlasting. Great musical and great soundtrack.
Q: What is your favorite activity you’ve been involved with through singing?
A: Preparing for all state. It has been tough and exhausting preparing the music but, it’s definitely gonna be worth it in the end.

A: Tenor.
