Q: What grade are you in?
A: 12th Grade
Q: How long have you been doing theater?
A: The fall musical, Matilda, will be my 21st theater production. I started in the 3rd grade at CAP Theatre.
Q: What is your favorite show that you have done?
A: My favorite show I’ve been in wasn’t even a role in a stage show. My favorite role was the 2021-2022 Ramification Freak Show. There was something so empowering and inspirational about being on a team with so many passionate and talented people.
Q: What made that show your favorite?
A: The way the team trusted each other and weren’t afraid to give positive critiques to one another helped us grow as a choir and improved my personal acting skills. The joy and message of inclusion captivated in that show was truly contagious and I will always remember it as one of the happiest times in my life.
Q: What is your favorite moment of this year’s musical?
A: My favorite point of the musical this year has been putting the choir together with the band. The process of combining those 2 different worlds of music is such a fun experience. Our Orchestra conductor, Mr. Gerth, is always trying his hardest to be as helpful as possible and make it a good time. The final pieces of a puzzle are coming into place.
Q: What is the hardest part of your role in the musical?
A: Costuming.
Q: What was your favorite role that you have done?
A: I’d have to say Miss Trunchbull since it’s been a dream role of mine for a while.
