Hot Chocolate Bombs
Make the viral trend at home!
Hot Chocolate Bombs have taken over the holiday season. These are a fun way to make hot chocolate with a little twist.
Supplies and Ingredients:
- Silicon sphere mold (I used a cake pop mold)
- Chocolate Melting Wafers
- Hot chocolate powder mix
- Hot water or milk
- Optional: Candy canes and marshmallows
Directions:
- Melt chocolate wafers in 15-20 second increments until fully melted and smooth. Stir after each time you microwave the chocolate.
- Pour melted chocolate into silicone molds and make sure they are fully coated. Gently tap out excess chocolate and cool. (I stuck mine in the freezer for 20 minutes.)
- Gently remove chocolate from the molds and fill half of them with hot chocolate mix, crushed candy canes, and marshmallows.
- Place two of the half spheres together by “gluing” them together with melted chocolate.
- Lastly, garnish them (I rolled them in crushed candy cane) and then place them into hot water or milk. For the cake pop size, I found two or three hot chocolate bombs work best.
- Enjoy!
