Apple Cider Donuts

Ingredients: 

  • 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅔ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Dash of cloves
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup apple cider
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ⅓ cup plain greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla 
  • 2 large eggs
  • Cinnamon sugar for topping 

 

Directions (makes 12 donuts):

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease donut pan. 
  2. Combine flour baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Stir together with a whisk. 
  3. In a separate bowl whisk together apple cider, sugar, yogurt, oil, and eggs. 
  4. Add yogurt mixture to the flour mixture and stir until combined. 
  5. Place batter in donut pan and bake for 12-15 minutes. Let it cool in the pan for 2 minutes, then move onto a wire rack.
  6. While the donuts are still warm, coat them thoroughly with a cinnamon sugar mixture. 
  7. Enjoy!
