Q: What instrument do you play?
A: Percussion.

Q: What groups do you play for?
A: I am in the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble.

Q: How long have you been playing?
A: I have been playing since fifth grade.

Q: What is your favorite song to play?
A: Any drumline cadence that we play is my favorite.

Q: What are you planning to do with music after high school?
A: I plan on trying out for the Iowa State Marching Band.

Q: What do you enjoy most about playing?
A: I enjoy making music with my friends and I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment after learning a difficult piece. 

Q: What is your favorite music class you’ve taken at SEP?
A: My favorite would definitely be Marching Band.

Q: Why did you choose your instrument?
A: I chose percussion because rhythms and time came really easy to me and because I couldn’t figure out how the other instruments worked. 

Q: What is your favorite genre of music to play?
A: Marching band music is definitely my favorite kind of music to learn and play.

Q: What will you miss about the music program at Southeast Polk?
A: I am going to miss the friends I’ve made within the band and the family that our band program is.

Q: Do you do anything musical outside of school?
A: I play for my church band.
