Artist of the Month: Jason Nuckolls

Senior Jason Nuckolls.

Q: How long have you been interested in art?

A: I started drawing when I was a kid and it really intrigued me that I could draw whatever I felt like and it got my mind off things.

Q: What type of art are you most passionate about?

A: I like drawing the most because it’s quick and easy and you can get your point across.

Q: What do you find so interesting about art?

A: You’re free to do whatever you want and you can express yourself however and whatever way, there’s no boundaries or limits to what you can do.

Q: What inspired you to become an artist?

A: I just kept up with it, and my dad and grandma because they were pushing me and telling me I could be a really good artist.

 

 

Q: Do you see yourself pursuing a career as an artist?

A: Yeah, I want to be a tattoo artist when I’m older.

Q: How many art classes have you taken?

A: I’ve taken art every year since I’ve been in school.

Q: If anyone wanted advice about techniques or ways to get better, what would you tell them?

A: Watch YouTube videos or find an artist on Instagram and research styles of art you like.
